HEALING

Please read the general information here and especially about contraindications to ensure that Kambo is suitable for you.

Ceremonies
Ceremonies

Kambo ceremonies are for cleansing the body of toxins, to increase resistance to illness/infection, improve mental clarity and focus, and to energise the body. Ceremonies can be arranged for groups of 6 to 15 people, either at our house in Rumihuaico, Tumbaco or at a location you provide, and take between 2 to 5 hours including recovery/resting time.

Participants are required to fast for 12 hours before the ceremony and should bring the following items:

  • 2 litres of room temperature water that you will drink a few minutes before you receive Kambo

  • A blanket and pillow

  • Layered clothing for hot or cold temperatures (you may want to bring a change of clothing).

Please make sure you read the information below on preparing yourself for a Kambo treatment.

Kambo ceremonies are exclusively for people in good health and who wish to improve it. We regret that people with medical conditions, taking prescription medicines or pregnant women are NOT able to participate. People who fall in these categories can only be given the attention their condition demands in personal sessions (see Personal Treatments below).

Ind Treatments
Personal Treatments

Because of the wide range of peptides it contains, Kambo can be used in the treatment of complex medical conditions such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, PTSD, organ diseases, fertility issues, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and cancer*. In addition Kambo has been used succesfully to benefit chronic fatigue, chronic pain, arthritis, diabetes, anxiety, depression, migraines, blood circulation problems, vascular insufficiency, high blood pressure, candida, herpes and recurrent infections.

By providing personalized care, we are able to treat complex conditions whilst mitigating interactions with prescription medications to achieve the best possible outcome.

Personal treatments are also available for those who seek the general benefits of kambo but can not attend a ceremony or want more frequent treatments.

* Kambo can not be given during or for 4 weeks after chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Kambo can be very effective in accelerating recovery and reducing the toxic load left by these strong treatments.

Treating Back, Joint and Muscular Problems with Kambo
Back probs

Bowen Therapy is a very gentle and relaxing treatment in which rolling-type movements are made at specific locations over muscle and soft tissue to stimulate a powerful healing response. It is not a massage (actually physical contact is quite limited), nor does it involve any harsh physical adjustments like  Osteopathy, Physiotherapy or Chiropractic treatments. Pain relief and readjustment is achieved by a change in the quality and flexibility of the fascia, a soft tissue which provides support and shape to body structures, and takes place over the course of 5 to 7 days. Bowen as a standalone therapy is impressively effective, normally requiring only 2 to 4 treatments to bring relief, even to longstanding problems. Applying Kambo to specific locations following a Bowen treatment greatly increases efficacy, sometimes achieving complete relief in a single treatment.

This combined treatment is suitable for any muscle or joint problems, including back stiffness and pain, frozen shoulders and sciatic or other nerve pain. Treatments are best carried out at weekly intervals.

Preparing for a Kambo Treatment or Ceremony
Preparation

Diet

  • For a couple of days before you are advised to eat healthily, avoiding fried and processed food, excess sugar, salt and coffee. Do not consume alcohol or take recreational drugs in the 24 hours before treatment.

  • Drink plenty of water so that you are fully hydrated and make sure you are well rested.

  • Do not eat for at least 12 hours prior to treatment as this could result in unwelcome or even harmful reactions.

  • After the treatment it is advisable to wait at least 1 hour before eating. The first food should be something light and easily digested such as fruit, rice, grilled fish or vegetables.

Day of Rest

  • The day of the Kambo treatment should be considered a day of rest. Do not plan to do exercise or work until the following day. Even experienced Kambo users are occasionally caught out by unusually strong responses. After the treatment you should take a shower to clean excreted toxins from the surface of the skin.

  • Ensure that you have enough time to fully recover after a treatment if you have to travel. For individual treatments the recovery period varies, but 1 hour is normally sufficient.
